JeffCo Public Library Extends Homebound Services

Jefferson County Public Library (JCPL) announced today that it is partnering with the Westminster Public Library to extend homebound services to Jefferson County residents living in Westminster. JCPL’s Homebound Service is for Jefferson County residents who are unable to come to a library due to a permanent or temporary condition lasting longer than 3 months. Through this service, JCPL arranges for delivery of library materials via home delivery or mail.

“Jefferson County residents who use the Westminster Public Library may not realize our homebound service is available to them,” said Donna Walker, JCPL’s director of public services.

Kate Skarbek, Library Services Manager, Westminster Public Library, says “We don’t have the resources to support a homebound program in Westminster, but by partnering with JCPL, we’re able to extend this service.”

Westminster is located in both Jefferson and Adams counties, and residents are served by 3 library systems: The City of Westminster and at 2 locations, the College Hill Library, 3705 West 112th Ave., and the Irving Street Library, at 7392 Irving St. Also JCPL, two libraries in Arvada, 8485 Kipling St. & 7525 West 57th Ave., and countywide homebound services.

Jefferson County residents living in Westminster may apply for JCPL’s Homebound Services by calling 303-275-6161, or by visiting their website.
