Candlelight Dinner Playhouse is featuring Sha Na Na, the Grammy® nominated music legends, who co-starred as “Johnny Casino and the Gamblers” in the film Grease and the Grammy® nominated music legends appearing before 400,000 people at The Woodstock Festival just before Jimi Hendrix. Joining the Ivy League greasers to help kick off the 1st Annual Rocky Mountain Rock ‘n Roll Sing-Along Festival is the ‘50s teen idol, Jimmy Angel & The Jason Gutierrez 3 – just awarded “The Best of LA” by LA Weekly.
The 3 nights of Rock ‘n Roll fun take place on Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday, September 29 – October 1. Doors open at 6 pm for dinner seating, and the show begins at 7:30 pm. There are prizes for the bestdressed greaser and party doll, drawings for free CDs, dance lessons, and a cameo role in an upcoming Broadway-style musical – come greased and ready to Rock ‘n Roll!
Sha Na Na also starred in their own world-wide syndicated television show, released 18 albums, had 6 songs on the Grease soundtrack, and continue to play more than 50 concerts a year. Jimmy Angel’s has delivered 10 Gold records and numerous hits. After an extended engagement in Japan, he returned to Los Angeles in search of a new band. Angel and The Jason Gutierrez 3, members of tribute band Valenz, honoring one of Jimmy’s ‘50s buddies, Ritchie Valens.
