Assistance League® Takes Part In Make A Difference Day

Assistance League of Greeley is participating in the third annual Make A Difference Day, an event coordinated through the national office in Burbank CA. The Make A Difference Day concludes on October 25, 2014. The goal is to collect 1000 new books for pre-school age, 3-5 year olds. The books will be donated to the Jefferson High School Day Care Center, allowing them to create a lending library, thus encouraging young teen parents to begin reading to their children. Children learn at an early age the importance of reading and education.

The public may participate by donating and dropping off the new books at the Bargain Box Thrift Store, or mail a monetary donation, 1706 9th St., Greeley, during normal business hours: Monday – Friday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Saturday, Noon to 3 p.m. For further information on Assistance League of Greeley, call 970-353-2226 or email greeley.assistanceleague.org
