Colorado Gerontological Society 26th Annual Salute to Seniors

A pink Cadillac, peanut butter, jelly and bacon sandwiches on French bread, and an Elvis tribute concert set in a Viva Las Vegas backdrop are coming to Denver to celebrate Elvis’ 80th birthday this year. Using an Elvis play list, George Gray, Greeley, a noted entertainer, is presenting the Elvis concert with rock and roll favorites. Following the concert “Elvis” is signing autographs and photos with the pink Cadillac.

Experience the feel and taste of Las Vegas on the City of Denver Strip as you try your luck on your way into the Expo. Games, cards and more greet you as you learn more about City of Denver services. Inside the Expo, you can enjoy bingo, Cadillac convertibles and station wagons, golf, and best of all, “tie the knot” at a Las Vegas style wedding exhibit.

The Salute to Seniors Expo is April 18, 2015 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Colorado Convention Center, 700 14th St., Denver.

Mark Weidhaas, past president of the Society of American Magicians, is coming to the stage as Inspector Magic with Houdini style tricks, illusions and street magic with his assistant. Inspector Magic brings Las Vegas style tricks and magic, making the most obvious disappear right before your eyes.

Three contortionists from Areial Dance Over Denver, will offer spectacular entertainment that will excite you and make your spirits soar to contortions beyond the human imagination! To end the day, the Joe Peterson Orchestra will bring big band sounds to the Las Vegas styled event.
