Boulder Flatirons Rotary recently provided a grant to the WOW! Children’s Museum to sponsor the Bank of WOW! Exhibit. At this newly remodeled interactive display, children and families can practice money recognition, counting and basic math skills, and learn about saving and spending. Using play money designed by Museum visitors, children can pretend to be bank tellers or customers to make deposits and withdrawals through the drive-up or in person. New interactive finance stations engage children in a saving versus spending game, and coin recognition and addition.
Along with the monetary donation, Boulder Flatirons Rotary members Kim Plumridge, Mary Anne Eckert, Maribeth Hite, Peter Bolhuis and Rusty Houssiere donated their time by helping paint and spruce up the museum. Boulder Flatiron’s Rotary looks forward to continued support of the WOW! Children’s Museum (World of Wonder) which is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing educational interactive exhibits, activities, and programs for all children – bringing families together in a creative environment that sparks imagination, inspires learning through play, and supports school readiness.
