Good Samaritan Society Partners with Fort Collins Rescue Mission

The Good Samaritan Society Fort Collins Village recently received a $3,000 social accountability grant from Good Samaritan Society Foundation. The grant money, combined with hours donated by Village employees, residents and family members benefits the Fort Collin Rescue Mission through various year-long projects.

The Village plans projects to: 1) build a 10 x 12’ storage shed for the Mission’s kitchen, 2) collect twin sheets and towels, 3) provide fresh-baked goods for Mission patrons, and 4) serve meals at non-holiday times of the year.

Since these non-profit organizations are faith-based, the partnership is being called the Matthew 25:40 Project at the Village, referring to this Bible passage: “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” By reaching out in friendship and compassion, Village staff, residents and family members live the Good Samaritan mission of Sharing God’s Love in Word and Deed.

The Good Samaritan Society Fort Collins Village is located at 508 W. Trilby Rd. Call 970-226-4909 or visit www.good-sam.com/fortcollinsvillage for more information.
