First Annual Loveland Design House Supports Homeless Veterans

Loveland-Design-House-2017

Loveland Housing Authority and Leadership Loveland offers.

Loveland Housing Authority and the Loveland Chamber of Commerce Leadership Loveland class have announced the 2017 Loveland Design House event to help benefit the Homeless Veterans Program at The Edge. Through a collaborative effort with Wonderland Homes, a newly built home in Loveland is transformed by the talents of local interior designers and open to the public for tours with purchase of tickets. The highly anticipated fundraiser officially opens on Friday, April 21, 2017. The house is available for tours and other special events through May 14, 2017.

The 2017 Loveland Design House, located at 4483 Chaplin Creek Court in Loveland, is a three bedroom, five bathroom, 4,019 square foot Acadia Modern Farmhouse that exemplifies the work of Wonderland Homes; beautiful and livable, built with integrity, and smart for the planet. The home features incredible upgrades and amazing views from its three outdoor living spaces in addition to a finished walkout basement with a large family room.

With over a dozen design spaces for interior and landscape designers, designers and vendors are assigned to individual rooms and spaces to showcase their talents, as-well-as the latest in interior design styles and techniques. The result is a unique tour for visitors, where each room reflects a designer’s creative vision and provides inspiring ideas for the home.

Tours of the Loveland Design House will give visitors a chance to see first-hand the work and talent of the area’s top designers – highlighting their design skills through choices of colors, furniture, rugs, artwork, and accessories. The home is also available for community members, groups and companies for special events and seminars. With almost everything in the home being “for sale”, this gives attendees the opportunity to shop for the latest and greatest in home design and accessories.

All proceeds from this event go to support the Homeless Veterans Program. The Edge, a 70-unit residential community opened in November 2016 by the Loveland Housing Authority, includes a building dedicated to providing affordable and permanent housing for homeless veterans. Currently, 15 units at The Edge are reserved for homeless veterans. The Homeless Veterans Program operates on the Housing First Model; housing plus supportive services to break the cycle of homelessness. Information on tickets, dates, times, events and sponsorship opportunities are at LovelandDesignHouse.org/.

Loveland Housing Authority is dedicated to excellence in management and in the delivery of services to provide access to safe and decent housing and to create and maintain and environment which encourages realization of each person’s ability to manage their life with dignity.
