Peaches For Hospice Returns To Benefit TRU Hospice Of Northern Colorado

TRU Hospice of Northern Colorado (TRU HNC), located at 2726 West 11th Street Road in Greeley, celebrates summer and community support with its 9th annual sale of fresh Palisade peaches to support hospice, with reservations open now and pick-up August 19, 2017.

This summer tradition brings support to northern Colorado’s hometown hospice from across the state, with a truckload of peaches from White Orchard in Palisade. Farmer Ray White, a long time hospice supporter says, “Working with Hospice keeps the peaches rolling out the door and helps people receive the care they need. It’s been a great experience to work with HNC and see how the community pulls together to make it happen. I’m proud to provide quality peaches to TRU HNC each year.”

Greeley businesses rally to support hospice too; MCP Trucking donates tractor, trailer, and driver to transport the fruit from Palisade to Greeley, and The Wrench provides a forklift to hoist more than 500 boxes of sweet summer bounty. Event sponsors RCC Medical Supply and Ewing Leavitt Insurance Agency provide generous underwriting for the event, which raises needed funds to bridge the gap between reimbursement and the cost of TRU HNC’s unparalleled end-of-life care.

Volunteers rise before the sun to prepare for hundreds of peach lovers to descend on the TRU HNC administrative offices on August 19 from 7 to 11 a.m. People seeking a taste of golden mountain sunshine will come from neighboring towns, counties and states to ensure their summer tradition includes donating to support hospice care for everyone who needs it.
