Boulder County Hosts Annual Junior and Senior Team Fishing Derby

Saturday, October 14, 9:00 a.m. – Noon (Derby takes place rain or shine.) At Wally Toevs Pond at Walden Ponds on 75th Street between Jay Road and Valmont in Boulder.

Boulder County Parks and Open Space hosts the annual Junior and Senior Team Fishing Derby on October 14. Pairs consist of one senior 64 or older and one junior 15 or younger fishing together as a team.

The derby offers prizes to the team that catches the heaviest trout, has the largest age difference, and are first to catch the limit. The pond is stocked with rainbow trout. Artificial and live bait are both permitted at Wally Toevs Pond. Seniors must have a valid Colorado fishing license.
