Meals On Wheels Of Boulder Delivers More Than Meals!

Meals on Wheels of Boulder has been delivering hot and nutritious meals, planned by professional chefs, to Boulder neighbors since 1969. In 2020 alone, they have delivered 56,875 meals for clients and 1,159 free meals through Project Homecoming – a service available during recovery from the hospital or rehabilitation.

Over this past year, many of these neighbors have shared how Meals on Wheels of Boulder has affected their lives: Kevin’s mom signed him up for Project Homecoming because of his shoulder surgery. She said, “Your service was a godsend and felt I was able to help him with his recovery this way since I live in North Carolina…” “I appreciate you all & everything you do…Really, if it weren’t for you guys, I wouldn’t be here!”

A client with much hardship said, “… literally, you are lifesavers!” Jackie W. especially appreciates the contact with drivers.“You (MOW) really are a lifeline. I look forward to the drivers coming and having contact with the outside world.”

“This isn’t just a food lifeline, it’s extraordinary how kind and thoughtful you all (staff & volunteers) are,” said Rita B. During this holiday season there are many ways to support Meals on Wheels of Boulder: Make a donation on Colorado Gives Day, December 7th www.coloradogives.org/mowboulder.

Buy quiche during their Quiche-mas December at their Niche Market, 701 Canfield Street, Boulder, Monday – Saturday from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. All proceeds benefit the nonprofit. Have lunch at the Eat Well Café, Monday – Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., 909 Arapahoe, Boulder in the West Age Well Center. Each lunch benefits the organization.
