St. Paul’s Senior Services and TRU Community Care Unite to Expand Services!

St. Paul’s Senior Services, a leading nonprofit provider of comprehensive senior care through PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) and multilevel senior living services in Southern California, and TRU Community Care, a respected nonprofit PACE, hospice, and palliative care provider in Colorado, proudly announce the completion of a strategic affiliation designed to expand access to compassionate, high-quality care for older adults and their families in both states.

This strategic affiliation brings together two mission-driven organizations with decades of experience in senior services and end-of-life care. By joining forces, St. Paul’s and TRU aim to strengthen services across the care continuum—from independent and assisted living to memory care, PACE, home-based hospice, palliative, and advanced illness care—while remaining committed to serving middle- and low-income older adults in their communities.

“Our organizations share a deep commitment to dignity, quality of life, and meeting the needs of aging adults with compassion,” said Michael McHale, who will serve as President and CEO of the newly affiliated organization. “This affiliation allows us to extend our reach and strengthen the support systems available to seniors, individuals facing serious illness, and their caregivers across California, Colorado, and beyond.”

The affiliation preserves each organization’s nonprofit status, names, and missions, while creating new opportunities for collaboration, innovation, and shared leadership. TRU Community Care maintains its strong local presence in Colorado with Samantha Black, previous TRU PACE Executive Director, now serving as Executive Vice President and TRU’s top local executive leader. Several TRU executive team members have assumed leadership positions across the affiliated organization, including Scott Gresser, who has transitioned into the role of Chief Financial Officer.

Together, the affiliated organizations will serve more than 5,000 people annually, employ approximately 1,130 staff, and operate with a combined budget of $264 million. They will focus on developing new healthcare delivery models, expanding telehealth capabilities, and investing in person-centered, community-based care that adapts to the evolving needs of aging populations.
