Highlands Ranch Metro District Board Chair Renee Anderson recently accepted a ColoradoBiz Top Project award recognizing the Highlands Ranch Senior Center as one of the first ever award recipients. The award celebrates the best construction projects in Colorado. According to ColoradoBiz, this award spotlights the excellent work being done in the architecture/engineering/development/and building industries.
“On behalf of the Highlands Ranch Metro District Board of Directors, I’m so proud that the Highlands Ranch Senior Center has been recognized as a top project,” said Metro District Board Chair Renee Anderson. “Our board envisioned a welcoming center to be enjoyed by people 55 and older. OZ Architecture and Waner Construction helped to construct a special space that achieves our goals. We’re thrilled to receive the ColoradoBiz Top Project award – the senior center is in good company with other outstanding projects in Colorado.”
The recognized projects were judged for their degree of difficulty, creativity in design, innovative construction techniques, cooperation among contractors and management, and sustainability efforts.
The 22,000-square-foot Highlands Ranch Senior Center opened in January 2025, offering programs, activities, and events to people ages 55 and older. The center already has more than 1,800 members enjoying time in the beautiful facility. To learn more about the senior center, visit highlandsranch.org/seniorcenter.
