At The City of Loveland’s Chilson Senior Center, being an older adult isn’t marked by age, it’s marked by opportunity. By providing a space for socialization, fitness, learning, health, creativity, travel, and more, Loveland’s dedicated facility empowers seniors to stay active and involved, and it’s an example of one way the City of Loveland supports people of every age.
The Chilson Senior Center, 700 E. 4th Street, is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. There is no fee to participate in many of the drop-in activities and classes, however, donations are accepted. A Chilson pass or daily drop-in fee provides access to most fitness offerings. For those in the 62 and older age range, a Chilson Senior Activity Card, at $20 per year, will unlock discounts and priority day trip registrations and reduced admission to community dances.
There are numerous benefits geared toward seniors, including: 1) Group fitness classes including yoga, Zumba Gold®, and Body Blast and access to sports such as pickleball, volleyball (50+), table tennis, and billiards, 2) Health programs in partnership with UCHealth Aspen Club, including blood pressure and pulse checks and fee-based spa services including medically based foot care and therapeutic massage services with a licensed therapist, & 3) Special events such as BINGO and community dances twice per month.
The Chilson Senior Center is proud to host the Volunteers of America lunch program. Nutritious meals for those ages 60 and older are available with a suggested $3 donation. Reservations are required. Call 970-472-9630 to learn more about the lunch program.
There are also day trips and new group travel opportunities. The 2026 Extended Travel series includes trip options for Costa Rica, Tuscany, the French Riviera, and European Christmas markets.
