This very moving and touching fund raising event was hosted by Bethel Lutheran Church in Windsor. The event was presented to benefit the Weld Food Bank which works to address growing through the hard work of their staff, volunteers and donors. Food and financial donations do make a difference in the lives of area neighbors. Such imperishable food items and financial donations were collected for the fund-raising event.
The Community Concert featured “Hands In Praise” a Christian American Sign Language Choir. The choir are dedicate to the worship of God and share the their worship with the hearing and non‑hearing by signing (ASL) to praise songs and traditional hymns recorded by vocal artists. They include “Amazing Grace/My Chains are Gone,” “How Great Thou Art,” “He,” and “The Lord’s Prayer” to name just a sampling of those songs and hymns. The choir performances reached far into the minds and hearts of their audience.
Bethel Lutheran Church Pastor Joe Natwick masterfully served as Master Of Ceremonies sharing introductory information about “Hands In Praise” and introduced each of the hymns and songs the choir presented. The evening concert ended with a standing ovation for everyone involved. The ovation was deserving in every way.
