Local Food Banks Under Strain
Even before the government shutdown local food banks were already experiencing increased demand. Monetary donations can help them quickly buy in bulk to meet this unprecedented need. Please consider donating to your local food bank or to Feeding Colorado.
Help Make Thanksgiving Special
Every year, Human Services staff brings complete Thanksgiving meals to more than 500 Human Services clients who would otherwise go without on the holiday. You can help by donating food (through Nov. 7), money, or your time. Learn more at arapahoeco.gov/thanksgivingfooddrive.
Dig Out a Neighbor This Winter
For individuals with physical limitations, snowy walkways and driveways can create serious safety hazards. This program will match you with a neighbor in need within a short distance from your home. Partnering for the Holidays
Through Dec. 4, Arapahoe County Human Services is collecting new, unwrapped gifts to help provide client families facing hardship a holiday shopping experience and the simple joy of choosing meaningful gifts for their loved ones. Learn more at arapahoeco.gov/partnering.
