Team USA Adds More Winter Olympic Medals!

It was a good day for several Team USA Olympic champions who received medals today. Team USA medal winners today were Jessie Diggins who won the Bronze medal for her cross-country skiing in women’s 10km freestyle, and Chloe Kim who won a Silver medal in Snowboard in the Women’s Halfpipe competition! Overall, Team USA increased their total medal count to 14 medals!

However the sad news is Team USA’s World men’s figure skating champion Ilia Malinin, aka the Quad King, landed in 8th place after a disappointing free skate long program. He fell down several times doing his multiple quad jumps program and appeared to be off balance. A new skater from Kazakhstan, Mikhail Shaidorov, won the men’s Olympic figure skating event, delivering a stunning free skate with the best quad jumps that secured him the gold medal. He out-performed the top two skaters to win Gold in the men’s figure skating competition! Interestingly, it was a different Olympic day today for Team USA!
