Loveland Oktoberfest Combines Traditional German Flair with Colorado Style Entertainment

Loveland’s signature Colorado style Oktoberfest is back for 2014 with a great new venue and high-profile entertainment lineup. From 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sat. Sept. 20 at Thunder Mountain Amphitheatre, Loveland Oktoberfest features nationally recognized and entertainment by the Flobots, Proverbial and The Epilogues alongside Colorado craft beer.

The event kicks off with a free family-friendly community festival from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. featuring local craft breweries, an assortment of food vendors, artisan and craft vendors, live local music and fun activities and German style contests for the entire family.

Gates to the Main Stage open at 4 p.m. for the evening concert. Denver indie rockers The Epilogues kick off the night and then Proverbial takes the stage, bringing its relentlessly diverse musical palette of funk, rock, reggae and hip-hop. The Flobots, a rock and hip-hop band that has climbed the charts with hit singles “Handle-bars” and “Rise”, brings its beats to Loveland for the first time.

“Loveland is truly expanding to become a craft beer and entertainment destination. Our partnerships have enabled Loveland Oktoberfest to truly become a destination event that appeals to locals and visitors across the state and beyond,” said Russell Fruits with Grimm Brothers Brewhouse. “Attendees can expect great local craft beer and fun kicked up a notch with performances by some truly exceptional and nationally recognized bands.”

Tickets for the evening concert are on sale and start at $15 students, $18 pre-sale tickets and $20 at the door. Tickets include entry to all 3 performances. Info online at LovelandOktoberfest.org.

A portion of event proceeds benefit Colorado Youth Outdoors, a nonprofit located in Northern Colorado that connects children & parents through hands-on outdoor experiences.
