This annual event is held to recognize and honor those volunteering and giving of their time, energy and effort to the benefit of others including individuals, organizations, events and anywhere their services are needed.
The 2017 Hall of Fame honorees are Kenny Dill, Barbara Sloan, JoAnn Ortega & Ray Peterson. Outstanding Senior Project was awarded to the Johnstown Senior Center. Other award recipients: Lois Onorato, Service to Seniors; Karen Dejiacomo, Dr. Winchester Humanitarian Award; Weld County’s Finest, Robert Edwards; President’s Award, Kelly Osthoff. Additional awards included Senior Center Grants and Professional Development. The Greeley/ Weld Senior Foundation Board of Directors expressed their thankfulness to these sponsors for their very generous support: Title Sponsor-Weld County Area on Aging; Food Sponsor-Greeley Place; Table Sponsors- Guaranty Bank, 50Plus Marketplace New, Your Place Coffee. Meadowview of Greeley provided the table centerpieces.
Bob Bernd did a masterful job as Master of Ceremonies. The Invocation & Benediction was given by Rev. David Meek, Greeley Mayor Pro Tem, Tom Norton delivered a Proclamation on behalf of the City of Greeley. The 25th Annual Hall of Fame was enjoyed by all who attended. Many complimentary remarks were heard being said.
