Longmont’s First Continuum Of Care

On the current AltaVita campus in Southwest Longmont, there is excitement in the air as construction is underway for their newest addition to the AltaVita Senior Residences family.

The Macy family is at last realizing their dream to provide for their Longmont community three levels of senior care residences in one location. Currently on the site is the first part of this project, AltaVita Memory Care Centre which opened in 2012. Following that, AltaVita Assisted Living community was opened in 2016. Now, the final component to the Macy family vision, AltaVita Independent Senior Living community with anticipated completion by 2019.

The new three-story building will consist of 83 stylish apartments with 9 different designs from which a prospective resident may choose. The generous floor plans range from one bedroom, one bath to two bedrooms plus den, two baths. Every well-appointed apartment will have full kitchens, walk in closets, large showers, washers and dryers and each a private patio.

The appeal for active adults to join AltaVita’s Independent Living community is the freedom to enjoy a comfortable, service-oriented, healthful lifestyle which includes housekeeping, scheduled transportation and maintenance oversight. To that end, a great deal of thoughtful consideration has been given to the on-site amenities; some of which include a bistro and bar, an exercise room with state of the art equipment, a full-service salon, a business center, massage room, a sociable club room and a larger room for resident and family functions such as food demonstrations, parties, family gatherings or yoga classes.

For outdoor enjoyment, a soothing waterfall with nearby gazebo is planned. Also, a patio with barbecue grills, walking and bike paths, and picnic tables located close to the outdoor activity center.
