Candleight Dinner Playhouse Has A Holiday Hit!

A holiday tradition of “Scrooge! The Musical” is now playing at the Candlelight Dinner Playhouse in Johnstown. The curtain opens to holiday singing and colorful costumes on a London Street. High marks go to Judy Ernst and Bren Burron for the exceptional period costuming. Set design was well done. Scene changes moved smoothly seemingly without flaws.

The cast portrayed their individual characters in a very convincing and entertaining manner. Brian Burron as Ebenezer Scrooge was exceptional in his portrayal of “Scrooge.” His facial expressions and mannerisms were contributing qualities to his exceptional work. By far, a most impressive skill is Brian’s vocal range. Brian captured the audience as “Scrooge.”

So many talented actors and actresses kept the production lively, entertaining and captivating. Young Ebenezer, Chance Jacob, and Heather McClain as Isabel were wonderful and attention getting singing and dancing to “Happiness.”

Another favorite number “I Like Life” was performed by Patrick Sawyer as Christmas Present & Scrooge. The entire production is filled with energetic, accomplished and skilled men, women and children of all ages. Their voices rang to the enjoyment of all. The entire cast acting out their respective parts drew the audience into the storyline for added enjoyment and fun. An added
note, be on the lookout for the special effects door.
