Loveland Chilson Center Presents “You Heard It On Radio!”

On The Air with an “Old Time Radio & Remember When” Show before a Volunteers Of America luncheon audience at the Loveland Chilson Center. “You Heard It On The Radio” was the opening number. The show highlighted the years 1938, 1943 and 1957. Old radio commercials- Carter’s Liver Pills, Pontiac automobile and Ralston breakfast food were played.

Several skits were performed by the players. Favorite players’ and audience memories of days gone as shown in the above photo (l-r) Michael Buckley, Shirley Conn, Barbara Danner, Clara Pierce, and Bett Hauser. The Chilson Players also shared… Roller skating down the neighborhood sidewalk.

Adopted by an Uncle when 3 years of age, I called him “Uncle Daddy.” Getting ice for the ice box. Playing ‘kick the can.” Sunday afternoon family dinners. And, so many, many more.

Luncheon guests, friends, families and staff were tuned in to the creative and entertaining show. There were plenty of laughs and just a fun time was had by all. The Chilson Players’ presentation was a culmination of eight weeks of class instruction, planning, creating and rehearsing. A “tip of the hat” to the players for a job well-done.
