Greeley Chorale Sets Holiday Mood

The gifts are wrapped, the tree is up, cookies are baked, and the cards are sent. You’re ready for the holidays, and it’s time to take a break! The Greeley Chorale invites you to “Carols, Gloria and Ho Ho Ho!”, a concert for the holidays, on Saturday, December 15, 7:30 p.m. at the Union Colony Civic Center.

According to Artistic Director Dr. Galen Darrough, “There’s sure to be at least one, and probably several, of your favorite holiday songs included in this holiday concert. So set aside about 90 minutes on the evening of December 15, and give yourself a break from the rush of the season!”

“Carols” include arrangements of the traditional carols you’ve known for years, such as O Come All Ye Faithful, Joy to the World, Masters in This Hall, and The First Noel. You’ll also hear a spiritual, Glory, Glory Glory to the Newborn King, which is an arrangement of Go Tell It on the Mountain, and a perennial favorite, The Christmas Song.

“Gloria” is the featured work, John Rutter’s Gloria, a favorite of choirs and audiences around the world. As for the “Ho Ho Ho!”, several of the Chorale members will be featured in solos and small ensembles performing holiday favorites. Past performances have included O, Holy Night, I’ll Be Home for Christmas, and Twelve Days of Christmas.

Come hear some “mood music”…holiday mood, that is! Tickets are on sale NOW at the Union Colony Civic Center Ticket Office. Go to greeleychorale.org, or call 970-356-5000.
