Dancing : Good For Body And Soul

The University Dinner Dance Club (UDDC), originally formed in the Glenn Miller era to serve University of Colorado faculty and staff, has now evolved to serve a dynamic and varied group of individuals from around the greater Metro area with diverse backgrounds, but who share a common love of music and dancing. You no longer have to be a member of the university to join.

The aim of the UDDC is to provide the best evening possible for all our members and guests.

Through our board of directors, we search for the best musicians available to provide the most danceable music possible. Currently, we hold our dinner dances at the Boulder Country Club. The dress code is cocktail to semi-formal.

We hope you will consider joining us as members. The dinner dances are by reservation: a flyer advertising each dance is sent out three to four weeks prior to each dance. The membership fee is $50 per person per year for six dances with the meal costing $43 per person for a three course meal along with a cash bar. For newly joining members the membership fee is prorated by the number of dances remaining in the season. If you enjoy ballroom dancing to live music, engaging conversation and dining in an elegant atmosphere, then the University Dinner Dance Club is for you. We would love to have you come as our guest and check us out. Dancing – it’s good for the soul and the body!

~ Francie Sinton is president of the University Dinner Dance Club. To learn more about the club, upcoming dinner dances and membership, call 303-906-6595 or fsinton81@gmail.com. UDDC is not affiliated with any university and all levels of dancers are welcome!
