The Golden Gallery Art Show is an event intended to promote the art of Weld County’s 50+ residents. The 3rd annual event is sponsored by the Greeley Active Adult Center and the Weld County Area Agency on Aging.
Entry categories this year include paintings, drawings, mixed media and new this year is photography! Weld County amateur and professional artists 50 years of age and up, may submit artwork that has been completed in the last 5 years. All art must be original and two dimensional. No sculpture, pottery or craft. Size limit: 38” x 38”. All art must be Gallery ready: framed for hanging with wire and no saw tooth hangers.
By August 30, 2019, mail entry form, photograph of artwork, and $15 fee (separate checks per piece, two piece maximum per artist) to Greeley Active Adult Center, 1010 6th Street, Greeley, CO 80631. Make checks payable to Weld County Area Agency on Aging. Do Not Send Cash! Payments do not guarantee selection and art not selected for showing will receive the $15 refund.
Show dates are September 27, 2019 from 3:00-5:00 pm and September 28, 2019 from 10-2 pm at the Union Colony Civic Center Two Rivers Lounge. Opening reception is September 26, 2018 from 4-6 pm. It is highly encouraged the artist attend the showing and bring friends! Visitors to the exhibit will vote for their favorite amateur and professional piece during the show for “People’s Choice Award”. First, second, and third place ribbons will be awarded and there will be no other prizes.
