Annual Tribute to Veterans Fair

Thrivent Financial Mountain Plains Group and Adamson Life Celebration Home are excited to announce this year’s veteran’s celebration.  Their fifth annual Tribute to Veterans event will be held on Sunday, November 10 from 11 a.m.to 2 p.m. Veterans and their families are welcome to attend at no cost!

Last year’s event attracted over 700 guests, including 260 veterans and their families.  The event included 55 different agencies that provide services to and for veterans.  The event was rated highly by the veterans and their families who attended, as well as by the resource fair participants.

Keynote Speaker & Retired Marine Col. Jeff Davis

In addition to a program to honor and celebrate our veterans and their families, keynote speaker and retired Marine Col. Jeff Davis presents his ‘Never Forget’ theme. Col. Davis spent 28 years in the Marine Corps, retiring as Chief of Staff in the Marine Corps forces. He served in six combat tours including Desert Shield/Storm, Iraq, and Afghanistan.

The fair includes entertainment with George Gray and his Elvis tribute band, family activities such as face painting, balloon tying, magicians, military vehicles, a life size World War II airplane mockup, and dioramas of various military engagements. The Chappelow Combined choirs will provide patriotic songs and help us to recognize and thank our veterans. A nice luncheon will be available during the celebration.

Embassy Suites Loveland is donating their ballrooms, and Adamson Life Celebration Home is joining Thrivent Financial—Mountain Plains Group once again as presenting sponsors. Remember and Honor magazine and the Northern Colorado Veteran Resource Center are helping to plan and coordinate this event. Veterans: please mark your calendars now and plan to attend to honor our veterans for their service! Please register at 970-667-7340.
