Community Enrichment and Engagement

Colorado has some of the most active retirees in the country. But what else is out there to make life interesting? In 2019, the New Directions program explored many avenues and activities of interest for those over 50 in the Fort Collins area. This popular, once a month, free program is now moving to Loveland.

The Loveland Library is excited to sponsor this program along with VOA Senior Corps RSVP and AARP. The three series, 9 workshop program (Winter, Spring, Fall) explores life enhancing options for the inquisitive and active older population.

The Winter Series is every third Thursday from 1:30-3:00.
• January 16: Transitions and Aging Research – It is time to sit down, settle in, and explore what you want to do in the next phase of your life. The goal is to identify what You really want. Hear the latest good news in aging research and what it means for healthy aging in your own life.
• February 20: Are You Prepared for a Healthy Retirement? Good nutrition is the key to good mental and physical health. Come away with a more healthful outlook and a great free nutritional cookbook.
• March 19: Breathe Easier with Your Finances in Order – It is a different financial world out there! Make the next phase of your life work financially.

The Spring Series is Navigating Bumps in the Road. The Fall Series 2020 explores Meaningful Time Well Spent.
