Greeley Weld Senior Foundation

GWSF Board Members held a gathering to re-cap 2019 and to look forward into the New Year 2020. 2019 successes were identified. Plans to build on those were laid out and discussed. High on the list is the Annual Hall of Fame Banquet and various fund-raising events.

Members explored how to best and most effectively advance the GWSF Purpose “To recognize & honor senior citizens for their achievements.” The GWSF Mission “is to support the promotion and development of senior recreation activities, events, programs, equipment and/or facilities in Weld Senior Centers. Full speed ahead with 2020 vision.

An Elvis Presley Birthday Bash in conjunction with a GWSF fundraiser was hosted by Greeley Place. An entertaining performance by tribute artist George Gray and the audience who attended the Birthday Bash and support Greeley Weld Senior Foundation. The afternoon was fun hearing memory jogging tunes, stories about Elvis and enjoying plenty of laughter.

As Elvis, George Gray does what he loves to do… mixing with the audience, shaking hands and picking out and singing directly to audience members.

The Greeley Weld Senior Foundation formed in 1991 for the purpose of honoring Weld County area senior citizens and their accomplishments.
