Weld Senior Symposium Goes Virtual

By Holly Darby

During these uncertain times, one thing does remain certain and that is the importance of having information to make the best decisions for ourselves. Information like how to stay safe on the internet and wills and trusts are just two examples of key topics that will help you navigate your journey.

The Weld Senior Symposium, formally Weld Senior Law Day, chose to best support the northern Colorado community by hosting their annual event virtually this year. Now, more than ever, it is important to offer the community opportunities to learn about navigating legal issues and area resources.

The Symposium lineup of topics and speakers are guaranteed to provide another great year. Topics include Technology and Scams: Staying Safe on the Internet; Retirement Planning; Navigating Your Grief When People are too Helpful; TeleCare: 24/7 Support for Loved Ones Aging in Place; Keeping Your Assets Safe and Secure Act – IRS, Medicaid and Nursing Homes; and Reverse Mortgages.

The virtual Weld Senior Symposium will be held October 1, 2020 starting at 8:00 am. More information will come soon regarding registration, so please visit www.weldseniorsymposium.org regularly or call (970) 400-6950.

We are also excited to offer a new opportunity for our sponsors as well. Sponsor designed commercials will feature their wonderful resources. The committee sincerely thanks our sponsors, who see the value in sharing imperative and supportive information with older adults and their caregivers. “See” you October 1, 2020!
