Larimer County Candidates Forum

The Partnership for Age-Friendly Communities (PAFC) and Larimer County Office on Aging (LCOA) are hosting their bi-annual candidates’ forum this year. Because of the pandemic, the biannual event will be held virtually this year using Zoom webinar services.

How will candidates address issues facing older adults? PAFC and LCOA are holding two virtual forums to learn about the candidates and their views. The first forum for State Legislative candidates will be October 7 from 4 – 5:30 pm. County candidates for Commissioner and District Attorney will be at the second forum on October 8 from 4 – 5:30 pm.

Senate District 14 candidates are Joann Ginal (D)(incumbent) and Hans Hochheimer (R). House District 52 candidates are Cathy Kipp (D)(incumbent) and Donna Walter (R). House District 53 candidate is Jeni Arndt (D)(incumbent, unopposed).

District 2 Commissioner candidates are Bob McCluskey (R), and Kristin Stephens (D). District 3 Commissioner candidates are Ben Aste (R), and Jody Shadduck-McNally (D).

District Attorney candidates are Mitch Murray (R) and Gordon McLaughlin (D).

The questions are being compiled by a team from both sponsoring groups and sent to the candidates ahead of time so that they can research and prepare. This is an excellent way to learn what issues candidates are paying attention to that effect older adults.
