Assistance League® of Greeley Continue to Help Others In Need!

Four Weld County grant foundations have stepped up to help the Assistance League® of Greeley sustain its philanthropic programs through the corona-virus pandemic. A Boettcher grant allowed the organization to attach UV lights to current ventilation at the Bargain Box Thrift Store. The lights help purify the air and reduce airborne contaminants including viruses; improving the air quality for both customers and volunteers at the store.

The Vale Foundation Board awarded funds for the material component of the Assault Survivor Kit® program. This program provides clothing to victims of physical and sexual assault at Weld Co hospitals. Clothing includes tops, pants and undergarments for adult males and females, as well as children.

UCHealth Benefit Fund provided monies for File of Life® cards that provide emergency responders and healthcare workers with vital medical history information about individuals who may not be able to respond.

To end with, the Weld County Business Recovery Program recently awarded monies to reimburse past and continued expenditures of PPE supplies, funds to support our Assault Survival Kits and re-sources for the Operation School Bell purchase of school uniforms

JoAnn McGrath, Assistance League President, stared “these funding organizations have al-lowed us to continue provide critical services to the community during a time of reduced revenues at the Bargain Box, due to the pandemic.”
