Collinwood Assisted Living & Memory Care Community, a Bethesda Senior Living Community, is proud to announce their new remodeled facility including their new Memory Care Neighborhood facility. Collinwood provides an active environment, maximizes senior independence, and quality of life.
Collinwood features several recently remodeled lodge-style buildings and recreation areas that provide opportunities for indoor and outdoor activities. The eleven acre property provides both stunning mountain views and close proximity to shopping, fine dining, cultural districts, and churches. Residents are encouraged to enjoy Colorado’s outdoors and nature with walking clubs, gardening, and numerous other activities and parties.
Collinwood’s Executive Director Kristen Jacoby has fifteen years of experience with a Master’s Degree in gerontology and leads with a hands-on philosophy to enrich the community. It is common to hear residents and their family members alike expressing their gratitude to our staff members, praising their hard work, care, and compassion.
Collinwood’s newest addition is the Memory Care Neighborhood. Memory Care Director Lacey Cox and her devoted staff recognize each individual’s case will be unique. Their focus is to provide an individualized program for each resident in a safe, stimulating atmosphere. The staff recognizes the stress and concern family members have with dementia, and works with each resident and their family to ensure the resident can thrive while maintaining as much familiarity as possible.
The high secure Memory Care Neighborhood facility provides daily group activities to boost mind stimulation along with individual activities catered to each resident. Residents are encouraged to engage in the group umbrella shown above, and ball throwing activities plus the patio garden and daily walks. The juke box area encourages mind stimulation as residents sing along to the different tunes.
