“Durufle was an eloquent 20th century spokesman for the tradition of French religious music,”
explains Dr. Galen Darrough, Artistic Director. “Differing from earlier Requiem Mass compositions, Durufle was influenced by the Gregorian Chants of the Mass for the Dead.” Guest Organist Dr.Joel Bacon, Professor of Liturgical Studies and Organ at Colorado State University, will accompany the Chorale for Requiem.
The second half of the program features an eclectic mix of music from the 16th, 18th, 19th, and 21st centuries. Compositions range from a piece by Mozart to an Irish traditional song to works by Brazilian, Norwegian, and American composers.

In addition to the concert, the Chorale’s popular Pops & Pasta! Wine Pull will be open before, after, and during intermission. As Pops & Pasta! was canceled this year due to the pandemic, this aspect of the fundraiser has been transported to this concert.

Tickets are $22 for adults, $10 for students with ID, and $18 each for a group of 10 or more from a single purchaser. Tickets are available at 970-351-4849, through www.greeleychorale.org/tickets, or at the door.
