Veterans Memorial Day Tribute Honors Colorado Fallen & Gold Star Families

Gold Star families, military groups, veterans and community members will gather to honor the sacrifice of fallen military heroes on Saturday, May 28. This inspirational ceremony honors servicemen and women who gave their lives in service to our country. It is an opportunity to remember sons, daughters, sisters, brothers and friends. Through music, photos, biographies and speech, this powerful remembrance ceremony draws hundreds of people across Colorado.

Memorial Day Ceremony

Veterans Memorial Day Tribute, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, coordinates this annual event to give family members, veterans
and the community a way to remember, reflect and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. This is the 23rd
Veterans Memorial Day Tribute. The event is open to the public and all ages are welcome.

When: Saturday, May 28, 10 a.m. – noon
Where: Bethany Lutheran Church, 4500 E Hampden Ave., Cherry Hills Village, CO (outside courtyard)
What: 23rd Veterans Memorial Day Tribute, a two-hour ceremony that includes:
• Images and biographies of fallen heroes
• Recognition of Gold Star Families
• Wreath Ceremony: veterans from past wars lay wreaths honoring the fallen from World War I, World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War, Gulf War and the War on Terror
• Reading of the Names: fallen hero names are read in conjunction with the US Navy Bell toll • Respectful stories: learn about
fallen heroes
• Military officials
• Musical ensemble with bagpipes,
hand bells and singers
