Boulder’s location at the foot of the Rocky Mountains puts us at greater risk to natural disasters. The City of Boulder has launched a new webpage to help community members learn how to be prepared for wildfires, floods, and other emergencies.
The webpage features information on how to prepare for emergencies, including: 1) How to sign up for emergency alerts, 2) The different types of alerts and evacuation notifications, 3) How to put together your own go-bag, 4) How to create a safety plan for you and your family, & 5) Links to the emergency updates blog and the Office of Disaster Management website.
Boulder’s natural environment and the changing climate make it critical that community members are prepared to respond quickly if there is a wildfire, flood, or other disaster. Visit the new webpage at Boulder Emergency Preparedness Website.
