Sandy Schlager… put me on a pony when I was 2 years old and I really never got off; so to say. Sandy Schlager has a genuine love for horses. Sandy is currently breeding and selling Gypsy Vanner Horses which are her pride and joy. This particular breed is very special to her. She is embarking on a two year plan for a new boarding facility in Greeley.
Sandy loves to travel, enjoys camping, rodeos and visits to the gym. Her passions are not only horses but extends to her family. She likes planning activities and spending time with them.
Hibbing, MN near the Iron Range is where she was born and she lived there until the age of 5. Her dad was a civil engineer and his work took him and the family to various parts of the world, with a two year stint in Iraq. Sandy’s sister was actually born there. Eventually, ending up in Walnut Creek, CA.
Sandy’s grown sons Brandon and Chris attended college in Colorado which prompted Sandy to move here in 2004 where she has resided ever since. She work at Eldergarden as the Community Relations Director. Eldergarden is an Adult Day Care center, providing a break for families while their elderly loved ones can enjoy living at home but still have a safe and caring place to spend the day. Call 970-353-5003 for more information. Oh, a question about horses? Call Sandy at 970-214-6886.
