The Elder Care Network of Northern Colorado presents the 6th annual Elder Care Resource Day. The all day event is Saturday, April 2nd at the Fort Collins Senior Center on 1200 Raintree Dr., Fort Collins from 8:00 am until 2:30 pm. Registration opens at 7:30 a.m.

This educational conference assists caregivers with 16 informative classes in the areas of navigating family dynamics, end-of-life planning, self-care for family caregivers, Alzheimer’s and dementia, and navigating the elder care system. All classes are presented by speakers with professional expertise. Handouts or supplemental information may be provided. Members of the Elder Care Network and sponsors are available to answer questions, and each attendee receives a tote bag filled with information on local resources.

This year topics include: How to Advocate for your Loved One; Is Your Home Safe?; Veteran’s Benefits; The Conversation Project; To Drive or Not to Drive?; Contented Dementia; Advance Directives: What are they & When do you need them?; The Warning Signs of Elder Abuse & Neglect; Housing: A Range of Options; The Caregiver’s Empty Nest; Larimer County No Cost, Low Cost Programs; Before & After Death Decisions.
