Adult Piano Seminars. Session 1: Saturday, May 28 to Wednesday, June 1. Session 2: Wednesday, June 1 to Sunday, June 5. Tuition: $925, includes room and board. Pianists of all levels are invited to participate in a 5- or 10-day intensive seminar exploring the enormously rich solo piano repertoire. With daily master classes, private lessons, discussion panels, and studio performance classes.
Chamberre In The Rockies. Wednesday, August 10 to Sunday, August 14. Tuition: $520, includes room and board. Chamberre in the Rockies is a program for mature amateur and professional musicians (strings, piano). Small groups read through a wide range of chamber music. A farewell participant concert for the public is optional.
American Roots Music Program. Friday, September 2 to Monday, September 5. Family discounts available. Advanced beginners to advanced levels. Tuition: $825 (includes room and board), $150 per day (meals, lessons, all events, no lodging). $25 per class. In its second year, this broad reaching program welcomes singers, banjo pickers, fiddlers, guitarists, and mandolinists– players interested in many facets of roots music. Along with private and group instruction, students learn to craft vocal and instrumental music arrangements of their own. The program probes blues, bluegrass, Cajun and Creole, old time mountain ballad and song styles, honky-tonk fiddling, and works by newer singer-songwriters and instrumentalists. Events include a live dance with caller, a banjo seminar, a student and faculty sing-around, and a workshop on Rio Grande fiddle tunes from Native American and Spanish colonial traditions.
