It was quite the fanfare with Team USA winning several more gold medals in men’s hockey and mixed team aerials for a total of 33 medals as shown in the chart below. Per the Olympics website, the final tally is as follows: The U.S. men’s hockey team ended a 46-year drought by claiming Olympic gold with a 2-1 overtime win against Canada. Jack Hughes scored the decisive goal, while Connor Hellebuyck made 41 saves in a standout performance.

Two men and a woman won a gold medal in the mixed team aerials, which a team of three skiers did an amazing performance on their high flying ski jumps plus the women’s team won silver in their bobsled contest and the women’s team won a bronze medal in curling!
The 2026 Winter Olympics concluded with a grand closing ceremony at Verona Arena, blending Italian culture and Olympic traditions. Highlights included the Games flag handover to France and Team USA celebrating historic victories and a fantastic light show for fans to remember the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics!
Although Norway topped the medal table with a record 18 golds and 41 total medals, Team USA followed with 33 medals, including its first hockey gold since 1980. Congratulations Team USA for winning the most medals since the Salt Lake City Winter Olympics!
