Make A Difference Day!

More than $95,000 of free vision, hearing and dental services are being donated to 36 seniors on October 26, as part of Make A Difference Day, a national day of service sponsored by USA Weekend. For over 20 years, USA Weekend Magazine and Points of Light  sponsor Make A Difference Day, the largest national day of community services.

Fourteen of Colorado’s audiologists, ophthalmologists,  and dentists are joining millions of volunteers around the world in a common mission to improve the lives of others. These seniors who need a little extra help receive free hearing aids, free eyeglasses and free dental work. Many of these seniors have been on the waiting list at the Colorado Gerontological Society for over a year.

The following businesses are proudly donating their time and talent:

• Advanced Audiology, Hearing & Tinnitus Center
• Hearing Rehab Center
• Scientific Hearing Aid Company
• New Leaf Hearing Clinic
• Mountain Peak Hearing Assocation
• Sound Relief Hearing Center
• Denver Ear Associates
• Red Rocks Family Dentistry
• Mark’s Optical
• Eye Vision Downtown
• Golden Eye Optical
• Look Optical
• Martinez Dental

Make a Difference Day is about bringing those in need together with those who want to volunteer to make our community a better place to live. The generous support of the professionals who care about the health and welfare of older adults is a high priority for these businesses. The Colorado Gerontological Society is a nonprofit dedicated to providing leadership for those working with elders as well as providing quality of life for older adults and families.
