Englewood Woman Wins National Recognition

Ms. Gayle Novak achieved national recognition when crowned Ms. Senior America in Atlantic City, NJ, on October 18. She won the Ms. Colorado Senior America title at the Colorado Pageant on May 25.

40 contestants, aged 60 and older, competed. Gayle’s winning personality, upbeat philosophy of life, and outgoing nature, won her acclimation from judges, other contestants, and attendees.

Many locals will recognize Gayle from her philanthropy efforts and commitment to volunteerism in raising millions of dollars for local charities, including the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, Volunteers of America, Cancer League of Colorado, the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.

Also well known as a restaurateur she worked with husband, Ed Novak of Broker Restaurant; owned restaurants herself, and now works with husband and son at Zane’s Italian Bistro.

While excelling in her career and dedicating hours to charitable events, she still managed to raise six children, and give love to 13 grandchildren.

Gayle is proud to be associated with the Ms. Colorado Senior America Pageant, Inc. which is a 501(c)3 charitable organization. She encourages any woman who is a Colorado resident and over the age of 60 to experience the joy of competition and building great camaraderie with other contestants by competing in the 25th Anniversary 2019 Ms. Colorado Senior America Pageant, Saturday, May 25, 2019, PACE Theater, Parker.
