Cowgirl At Heart

Jami Pfertsh was born and raised in Golden. She moved to Keenesburg about 20 years ago. Jami has two boys, ages 24 and 8. Her husband Clay works in the local oil fields.

She and her family own a ranch in Keenesburg which they farm. Every year the family puts up their own hay and takes care of horses, cows; dogs & cats, too.

We chatted about her favorite pastime activities. She enthusiastically spoke about training horses, giving riding lessons and is currently coaching, supporting and hauling her 12-year-old niece with her to barrel races which led me to learn Jami is an accomplished, competitive barrel racer. Barrel racing happens to be a favorite rodeo event of mine. Jami is a successful businessperson too. She worked in the dental profession for over 15 years before moving into the finance area on behalf of nursing homes, assisted living and independent living communities. The move took place about 6 years ago.

Just recently Jami accepted the position of Business Office / Human Resources Manager for The Lodge at Greeley an independent living, assisted living and memory care community. The community is brand new. Jami shared her excitement about the new position and is looking forward to applying her professional skills as she meets the tasks and responsibilities of her association with The Lodge at Greeley. We wish her every success!
