Rocky Mountain Stocking Stuffers Concert at the Lakewood Cultural Center

Timothy P. and the Rocky Mountain Stocking Stuffers – a holiday string band unlike anything you’ve ever heard – returns to the Lakewood Cultural Center on Dec. 4 and 5. More than two decades ago, consummate Colorado entertainer Timothy P. Irvin and his musical pals Jon Chandler and Ernie Martinez entered the recording studio and came up with a spectacular collection of traditional holiday favorites and new tunes.

They then assembled an all-star group of Rocky Mountain acoustic musicians to bring the project’s unique sound to concert settings. Seven veterans of Denver’s most prestigious acoustic and Americana groups join Tim, Jon and Ernie onstage in a rollicking show, culminating with a seven-minute “Night Before Christmas” that explores each nuance of the bluegrass genre. Plus, a special rendition of Jon and Tim’s classic Christmas song, “I Want My Daddy Back,” is featured.

Tickets start at $22 and are available for weekend matinee performances at 2 p.m. on Dec. 4 and 5 and an evening show at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 4. To purchase, call 303-987-7845, visit Lakewood.org/LCCPresents or the Lakewood Cultural Center Box Office, 470 S. Allison Parkway.
