Columbine Health Systems announces the opening of their new addition, The Pines at New Mercer Commons assisted living, located at 900 Centre Ave., Fort Collins.

The 40 apartment facility offers three styles: Royal, Executive, and Luxury suites. Each apartment features walk-in closet, flat screen TV, individual thermostat for heating and air-conditioning, kitchenette with small refrigerator, private bathroom with walk-in shower and bench, and wireless call system to communicate with staff via pendant.

Amenities within the facility include beautiful artwork in the hallways, dining room with satellite kitchen with a cook-to-order menu, private dining room, two freshwater aquariums, Fitness Center for group fitness, one-on-one therapy sessions, media and library room, scenic deck and landscaped courtyard.

The Pines overlook the beautifully landscaped park with walking trails, a butterfly garden, and multiple bronze sculptures. Located nearby are the Columbine Lifestyle Centre health club and the Fort Collins Senior Center. Both offer health and wellness programs for residents to enjoy. Van transportation is provided.

Assisted living services offered at New Mercer Commons include Personal Care Providers 24 hours per day providing protective oversight, Licensed Practical Nurse seven days per week for general health monitoring, first aid certified staff, medication management 24 hours per day, activities seven days per week led by staff to enhance social, physical, spiritual, recreational, and cognitive aspects for each resident, transportation to medical appointments, convenient in-house services including; therapy, podiatrist, dental hygienist, counselor, and a nurse practitioner.
