Conserve Water, Get Money Back – Greeley’s 2016 Water Conservation Rebate Program

Let the City of Greeley help you save water and money with its rebate program for selected water efficient products. This program is only for products purchased in 2016. Applicants must apply for rebates within 90 days of purchase and must apply by January 14, 2017.

The rebate is available for both commercial and residential customers, and the eligible products include high-efficiency toilets, HE clothes washers on a qualifying list, and a variety of other commercial water-saving products. Irrigation rebates on products such as smart irrigation controllers, pressure reducing valves, and new sprinkler heads are available after an irrigation audit. Please visit greeleygov.com/audits to schedule an irrigation or indoor audit to get recommendations on rebates and water use.

The toilet rebate program will be changing on June 30, 2016. After that date, only 0.8 gallon per flush toilets will be rebated. This is due to the State of Colorado setting higher efficiency standards for plumbing fixtures, taking effect in September.

It is estimated by the US Environmental Protection Agency that a family of four can save more than $90 per year by replacing old toilets with EPA WaterSense labeled high efficiency models. This can amount to over $2,000 in savings throughout the lifetime of the product.

A complete list of qualifying products, as well as application materials, can be found at greeleygov.com/rebates. Only City of Greeley water customers are eligible to participate.
